Constantine Manos - Featured Photographer at GFFW 2012

A week-long photo exhibition and related events will take place in Toronto, Canada from May 5-12, 2012. The exhibition will feature works from photographers of Greek descent from throughout North America and is hosted in conjunction with the Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival, one of the largest photography festivals in the world.

This year’s Featured Photographer is Constantine Manos, one of the world’s foremost photographers, whose exhibitions have been featured in world-class museums and installations. His work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, the Art Institute of Chicago, the George Eastman House in Rochester, and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.

Manos was born in South Carolina in 1934 to Greek immigrant parents and started photographing things when he was 13. Read the photographer’s full biography and website here.
