Dean J. Tatooles is a Greek American photographer based in Chicago, Illinois. He is the proud descendant of the Tatoulis family hailing from Kastri on his father’s side and the Korbakis family from Tripoli on his mother’s side. Specializing in fine art panoramic landscape photography, wildlife photography, and indigenous portraiture from remote locations around the world, Dean has traveled across all seven continents. He hopes his work will transport his audience to another time and place, and bring a sense of adventure and freedom. Dean's company, Southern Cross Galleries is named after the constellation that bears its name and is only visible from below the Equator. He works with professional Nikon DSLR equipment for wildlife and portraiture, and a Linhof Technorama 617 SIII panoramic camera for landscapes. Dean creates each individual print in his own lab for full creative control.
