Greek America Foundation spreading joy with the Georgetown Cupcake sisters Katherine & Sophie

We were proud to host a series of events that introduced the new book by Katherine Kallinis Berman and Sophie Kallinis LaMontagne -- known endearingly to our community as the cupcake sisters from Georgetown Cupcake and the popular TLC show DC Cupcakes.

Released on October 9, 2012, "Sweet Celebrations" is the follow up book to their wildly successful inaugural release called “The Cupcake Diaries.” The Greek America Foundation hosted a series of receptions, meet and greets and book signings in Chicago, Baltimore and Philadelphia.  Copies of "Sweet Celebrations" were available at each of the events for purchase and signing by the sisters-- and cupcakes were offered.

CHICAGO

In Chicago, the sisters met the Foundation's top donors at a reception hosted on Friday, October 19th. The private event afforded the Foundation's "Spartan" level supporters with a chance to meet and hear from two of the nation's most successful entrepreneurs as well as meet and network with each other. 

The following day, October 20th, we sponsored a complimentary meet and greet and book signing hosted at LUXBAR in the Gold Coast.

BALTIMORE 

The Baltimore event was hosted on October 22, 2012 at the Costas Inn Restaurant. Many of the guests stayed and dined on Costas Inn Restaurant's famous crab cakes!http://www.opentable.com/costas-inn

PHILADELPHIA 

The Philadelphia event was hosted on October 23, 2012 at the Water Works Restaurant and Lounge in the Engine Room. Proprietor Michael Karloutsos is a longtime friend and supporter of the Foundation's efforts and offered his historic restaurant for an authentic Philly welcome to Katherine and Sophie.
